OUR PURPOSE

We exist to call men and women to celebrate and be changed by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and His Lordship over all of life - for the good of our city and the world.


In the gospel, we meet a God who has acted decisively in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus to redeem and restore people to Himself. Jesus lives the life we could not live, dies the death that we deserve to die, and is raised from the dead and revealed to be the King over all creation. This was no arbitrary event in history; it is the decisive moment. The gospel tells the whole story of Biblical history and how God has acted decisively in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus to redeem the world for His glory. Preaching the gospel means showing how Jesus is the fulfillment and goal of every biblical text.

Our Doctrine


STATEMENT OF FAITH


We as an Assembly accept the Holy Bible as the inspired and revealed Will of God, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice and for the use of maintaining general unity. We adopt the Assemblies of God Statement of Fundamental Truths which can be found here. We adhere to this standard now and at any time of revision in the future.


God's true and perfect teachings are revealed to us in the bible (Jn. 1:1-3, 2 Tim. 3:16). Throughout the many passages in the Word, God speaks with authority and finality as He reveals lessons about truth, morality and how we as people should live as people and in relation to Him (Col. 3:12-17). 


WHAT WE BELIEVE


- We believe in the trinity (1 Cor. 12:4-6, 1 Jn. 5:7-8) 

- We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ (Phil 2:9-11), that He died for everyone's sins so that all can experience a personal relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ (Jn. 3:16, 14:6).

- The Holy Spirit is alive and at work in every Christ follower that we can experience daily (Acts 1:4-8, 2:4).

- Our church's mission is to represent God's act of love that was shown through Christ's ministry and make disciples of Christ through this loving act (Matt. 28:19-20, Mk. 16:15).

- God performs miracles to this day (Jn. 5:1-15, James 5:14-16). 

- As promised, Jesus will return to earth to judge each person for their actions and ultimately establish the Kingdom of God there (1 Thes. 4:16-17, Rev. 21:1-4).
